What is Depression?

Depression is defined by the inability to feel pleasure. People who are clinically depressed also feel extreme exhaustion, so it takes every ounce of energy just to get out of bed and get dressed everyday.

If you are depressed, biologically you are dealing with a high Activation of the stress hormones, and  adrenaline, glucocorticoids are at high livels in your body where you are having a massive stress response, with increased metabolic rate, increased muscle tone. All of this is going on internally. Some people only get depressed in the winter.
